It may be difficult for beginning editors to get the hang of, but it’s a complete and effective tool for more advanced users. If your computer runs Windows XP or a more current version, you may already have this program installed. If not, you can download it for free. It’s a great program that has features for users of all skill levels. Beginner video editors will find it to be a very easy, simple program to learn. The drag-and-drop style of video editing is very intuitive, and you can add a variety of effects and text and edit audio. It has lots of advanced options, too, and it’s very helpful for editing your personal home movies.
Moviestorm
This free video editing software is available for Windows and Mac operating systems. It’s a program that has a very user-friendly interface, and it’s an especially good tool for people who are interested in creating animated movies and videos. You can create detailed 3D animations and editing. There is also a lot of helpful how-to information available on the website, along with a supportive community of users. It’s a professional-quality animation editor that anyone can use.
Avidemux
This open source software can be used on Windows, Mac and Linux operating systems. Beginner users will find it to be a very helpful program, and it has intuitive features like drag-and-drop editing, as well as more advanced features and capabilities. If you’re just starting out with video editing, this is an excellent program to try. There are lots of active users participating in helpful discussion forums, and it supports many different video file types.

This freeware is a great tool for video editing. It can be used as a program in itself for all purposes and skill levels, and it can also be added as a plug-in to more professional programs such as Adobe Premier and Pure Motion EditStudio. It will serve all your video editing needs, and it has many different 2D and 3D special effects. You can edit an unlimited number of video and audio tracks, and it supports many different file formats. There are helpful Flash tutorials available as well.
