Why should I hire you instead of a larger design firm?
Working with a freelance designer has great advantages. Typically I have very quick turnaround times compared to a larger company. Because I work out of my home, my overhead is lower and that is reflected in my fees, however quality is never sacrificed. And, because it's just me here, you're always communicating directly with the person working on your project.
Will I be charged by the hour or by the project?

New web design projects are quoted based on your project needs, however that quote is based on my current hourly rate. I can usually provide price estimates for most projects, however occasionally I will charge by the hour, if the client is unsure of exactly what is involved.

I do have set pricing on some graphic design projects, however that will fluctuate on occasion, depending on the individual project.

I'm in a rush for a particular project, do you offer rush services?
Depending on my schedule, yes I can provide rush services for your project, however additional fees will apply. Please contact me for details.
Do you offer any SEO services?

All of my websites include a Basic SEO package, detailed on my SEO Packages page. This basic package includes things like submittal to search engines, proper keyword use in the code, optimized header tags, etc.

If you need something more advanced, I offer several other options for SEO on my SEO packages page.

I need printed materials. Can you offer that as well?

Yes, I work with a wholesale printer here in California, that provides high quality products at great prices and will drop ship to your front door. Business cards, brochures, fliers, door hangers, you name it.....they print it.....and it will show up fast!

How quickly can my website or graphic design project be ready?

There are several factors that play into this, beginning with the details of your project. For example an e-commerce web site will take much longer than a 5 page brochure site. Also, how quickly you are able to provide the required materials and then approve mock ups will play into how quickly your project will be completed.

Generally most website will take between 4 - 8 weeks, depending on the scope. Some will be quicker, and some will take much longer.

I do not give completion dates for websites, as there are far too many factors to consider that can delay the launch of new sites.

Graphic design projects such as logos and business cards will generally take 2-3 weeks.

I want a Flash website. Do you do that?
No. I do not build websites entirely out of Flash. Flash websites cannot be optimized for SEO the way that HTML and CSS websites can, so they are not recommended. Flash animations are somewhat dated and not as popular as they once were, however I will occasionally still do a Flash slide show on a small portion of the page where there is plenty of text so as not to inhibit the site's SEO.
I live across the country from you, can we still work together?
Absolutely! Most of my clients are all over the US, even in Canada, so distance is not a consideration. As long as you have access to the internet and email, we're good to go!
