2002 Grullo Gelding
Rocky was my up and coming stallion when an unfortunate injury resulted in his castration in October of '08. He did sire 9 foals, 4 of them duns. He was a great stallion and he taught me quite a bit, but he is a phenomenal gelding and we have way too much fun working cattle here on the ranch.
Destinea Love, aka "Desi"
1995 Chestnut Mare
Desi is the Queen, and everybody knows it. She has an awesome work ethic, sometimes a little too much so! She does not know the meaning of the word quit and she has put in many 10 hour days. She is best at working in the mountains where she can just go....and go, and go, and go. She does give new meaning to the term "big motor", but she can also stop and rest when she's asked to.

 

 


Alpinemist Caramel Ripple, aka "Allie"
2004 Bay Dun Mare
Allie is as sweet as the day is long, and one of the easiest horses to train. She doesn't question the program and just goes with the flow. After only 20 rides or so, we were already gathering cattle. She uses herself extremely well and almost glides down hills at a jog. It's the most incredible feeling and I've not experienced another horse with this smooth action in the hills.
